Expressive Writing
Summer Days
In the back of the van we sweltered like chickens in a microwave. The sun was blazing on our faces. I told myself I could really use a drink right now. I asked Mum if she could go to the shop and get a bottle of water or something. She said, "we will be at Nana's in about 20 more minutes". I felt like I was going to melt.

PB4L We use Good Manners
Our focus at the moment is good manners. We would like to encourage the children to not only be using good manners at school but also using them at home. Please talk with your children about what this may look like in different situations. I know the children will be keen to share their learning with you.
Enjoy the sunshine.

Keesarla's Special Place
My special place.
My special place in the world is my house. My number one reason why, is because there's NO place like home.
I like where I live, because I live on a farm.I like living on a farm, because my uncle lives on it too. EveryWednesday and Saturday, we go up to see him. I also like living on a farm, becaue we're allowed to have farm animals, like chickens, and our minature pony.We can't ride on our horse, but we don't need to, because she's got a big personality for a small horse. Our horse lives in a paddock connected to our house.
Home's also my special place because my grandparents live with us too. They help us pack our lunches, take us to school, and try to help in any other way that they can.
My family and I live in the old mayor's house... so it's big (two storied) and it's yellow and white stone. We've got about an acre of land, so Mum finds it quite hard to do all of the gardens. My favourite garden is the secret garden. It's my favourite, because it's hidden, and there's a beautiful chair in there.
The number one place at home that I love is the dining room/living room.It has 2 big leather chairs, one leather couch and a beautiful china cabinet. I love this room even more, because it's full of memories.
I love my house because there's no place like home, because it's full of memories, because the people I love are in it.
My special place is home.

My Special Place
My special place is Twizel because all the houses are the same . Twizel has lots of places to bike ride too. Its great fun.
I remember when we went up with Nana's and stayed with her friend. We went up in a yellow bus and it took hours to get there. Thier house was made out of wood. We went for 12 bike rides all around Twizel.
Twizel is a very quiet and peaceful place because its about half the size of Timaru. We went to Mt.Cook , Lake Ruatanawha and Mini Golf. At Lake Ruatanawha there were toad stools that are like red and white mushrooms.
I like going to Twizel because I like bike riding.
